The suspect in the Manhattan attack, in a “pick-up” that drove the cyclists to the track near the former World Trade Center site, left messages confirming that he supported the Islamic State, US media reported, while Daily Mail writes that a flag of the terrorist organization was found in the vehicle.
According to the writing of the New York TImes, besides the vehicle, “handwritten letters in Arabic” were found indicating that he was a supporter of ISIS.
However, CNN states that those messages were written in English and were found in the vehicle itself.
At the same time, Daily Mail writes that a flag of the Islamic State was also found.
The suspect for the attack on Manhattan, which killed eight people, is from Uzbekistan and is called Saphilo Saipov, sources said close to the investigation, the US media reported.
